Tulika Mehrotra is an Indian-American author from Chicago. She received her bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign with further graduate studies in Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy. After a corporate career that began in the fashion industry in Manhattan and transitioned to media in Los Angeles, Tulika focused her attention on writing. Her first two novels were published by Penguin India in 2012 and 2013.

Tulika has also written for various magazines including Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Vogue, Grazia, India Today and Men's Health. In addition to speaking at various universities, she has also taught workshops on creative writing for business at the Wharton Business school. 

Tulika is an avid traveler and reader and enjoys experimenting with photography and cooking. She is also fluent in Hindi. Tulika currently resides in Chicago with her husband and their children.
